I first tasted this delicious version of chè xôi nước at a hawker market in Singapore.
It really only takes three steps as you can see from the instructions below, so give it a try, you'll not regret it... bon appetit!
Ingredients:-
Soybean milk ( I use Silk organic soy milk that you can get at most supermarkets)
-
Sesame rice balls (black sesame is my preferred choice but you can also get lotus, red bean, and yellow bean at the chinese supermarket)
-
Sesame seeds (pre-roasted, only used for decoration)
Step 1: Defrost the sesame rice balls
Step 2: Drop them into boiling water, until they kind of float
Step 3: Transfer them over to some warm soybean milk (don't over boil the milk)
Et voilà , serve the yummy chè with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top.
The sesame balls are already sweet, but if you have a really sweet tooth, either buy some sweetened soy milk, or add sugar to taste to the milk while it's warming.
I prefer the soy milk to the nước đường of our chè
